Agronomic performance and correlation of growth components, yield components and production on 30 F3 lines of new plant type of black rice specific to highland ecosystems

Abstract Many high-yielding varieties of rice have been released, but generally lack good quality. This study aimed to examine the agronomic performance several new plant types black F3 lines at two medium altitude. The research was carried out on fields in Tallunglipu District, North Toraja Regency with an altitude 850 m above sea level. took place from May 2020 November 2022. used Single Seed Descend selection method which arranged randomized block design pattern each location. genetic material tested consisted 30 resulting combinations crosses between local rice, crossed a national superior variety and 3 comparison varieties, namely Pare Ambo, Lallodo Inpari 4 were repeated times. observational data analyzed for variance if there significant effect, then Honestly Significant Difference 5% value closeness characters correlation weighted analysis (WINDEX) performed select strains. results showed that character had close productivity, weight pithy grain per clump, maximum number tillers panicle. best productivity F3UKIT104-2-194 (5.7 tons/ha) F3UKIT104-2-197 (5.4 tons/ha). selected strains based Windex are UKIT104-2-197, UKIT 104-2-194, 104-2-298, 104-2-089, 104-2-127, UKIT-101-2-131, UKIT-101-2-218, 104-2-003, 104-2-148, UKIT-101-2-002, UKIT-101-2-003, UKIT-104-2-046, 104-2-064, 104-2-001.
